Description

Cool Air On Your Side Of The Bed

Hot in bed again, with hours to go before it cools down outside? This is a small water cooler built to cool one person at a time, not the room around them. Lift the cap, top it up from a glass where it stands, and twist it shut. The fan pulls the warm air through a wet curtain inside, and the water drying off that curtain takes the heat out of it. Tilt the vent until it lands on your pillow, then choose one of three speeds.

A soft light glows around the top edge and down the front corners, on its own button, so you can leave it on with the fan off. There's a strap on the side to carry it by or hang it up, and it runs off its own battery, so no cord trails to the bed. Put it on charge in the morning, out on the kitchen bench. Empty it after use and let the curtain dry.

One Cool Seat, Not A Cold House

You've probably seen a cooler this size sold as though it will handle a whole room. Stand one in the corner, and the room feels much the same. That's why people end up disappointed.

This one is built to cool the person in front of it. Keep it close and angle the vent so the air arrives where you're sitting. You get one cool seat instead of a warm room with a machine sitting in it.

Cool Air And A Soft Light By The Bed

Your bedside table already has a book, a lamp, and a glass of water. On a warm night, you want it blowing on your face, without running a cord across the floor.

This sits in the space you've got. The light works on its own, without the fan running, so there's something soft to see by at three in the morning. It charges somewhere else during the day, then comes back beside you by bedtime.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

Will it actually cool me down, or is it just a fan with water in it?

It is a fan with water in it, and that is the point. As the water dries off the curtain, it takes heat out of the air going past. Sit close, and you feel it. Ice in the tank makes it colder.

Will it cool my bedroom down?

No. It cools whoever is sitting or lying right beside it, and that's what it's built to do. Put it on the bedside table and keep it close, the way you would a reading lamp.

How close do I have to sit before I feel it?

Close. This is a personal cooler. It belongs on the desk beside you or the table by the bed, not across the room. Point the outlet straight at yourself and sit within reach of it.

Can I leave it charging beside the bed overnight?

Charge it during the day instead, on a hard surface out in the kitchen and away from bedding. At night, it runs on the battery alone, with nothing plugged in near you. The Type-C cable goes in either way up.

How do I keep the tank and the curtain clean?

Tip the water out when you've finished with it and leave the curtain to dry, rather than shutting it away damp. Give the tank a rinse now and again. The curtain is replaceable, so you can put a new one in when it's past it.

Does it leave the desk or the paperwork damp?

The air it puts out carries moisture, because that's how the cooling works. Stand it on something that wipes clean, and keep paper and a keyboard clear of it. Point it at yourself rather than across the desk.

Does the vent swing from side to side on its own?

No. You set it yourself: move the outlet until the air is landing where you want it, then leave it there. That suits a fixed spot, like a desk or the corner of a bedside table.
