Can one tag work on my iPhone and my partner's Android?

No, one at a time. Set it up on an iPhone or an Android phone. To move it across later, remove it from the app, reset it, then add it to the other phone. Each person's tag goes on their own phone.

Will the map show where my bag is right now?

Not quite. It shows the last place the tag passed a phone of the same kind as yours. In crowded places like airports, the map updates often. Somewhere quiet, it can take a while. Once you're close, ring it and listen for it.

Will I hear it ringing inside a packed suitcase?

Maybe not. Clothes packed around the tag muffle the sound. Check the map first to see roughly where your case has got to, then ring it once you're standing right beside it.

Am I allowed to pack it in my checked luggage?

Yes, in most cases. Rules can vary between airlines, so check yours before you fly and keep any spare batteries in your carry-on. Under the airline industry's 2026 guidance (IATA), small trackers like this aren't restricted in checked bags.

What battery does it take, and how long does it last?

It runs on a button battery, and the supplier says it lasts 365 days. Keep spare batteries well out of reach of small children. When you put a new one in, set a reminder on your phone for the next change.

Is it small enough to go in my wallet?

It's 3.2 cm across and under 1 cm thick, in black or white. Check that against the card slots and coin section in your wallet. If it's a squeeze, keep it on your keys or in a zip pocket of your handbag.

How do I look after it if it gets wet?

The supplier rates it IP67, so rain and splashes are fine. It isn't made for swimming, though. If it does get wet, dry it off with a soft cloth once you're back inside.
